With the economy in serious peril, what can we expect for Fashion Week?? Both Calvin Klein and Zac Posen have canceled their after parties while other designers have chosen to show one after another in shared tents, cutting costs and cutting down on the endless travel that the audience partakes in inbetween shows. Will we see more Eco-Friendly pieces incorporated into lines? Will we see more wearable pieces or will designer's produce lavish lines aimed at taking our minds off the downfall of the economy? One thing that will be on display during fashion shows next week, are the many Jewelry collaborations done for the collections. On that note, I am especially excited to see what Paris Kain of Abraxas Rex comes up with for Alexander Wang! I know that this fashion week I will be looking for lines with timeless pieces and impeccable tailoring. Fabulous shoes are also on my list, and you already know that I'm excitedly anticipating the Balmain show! I'm also looking forward to what the boys over at Proenza are going to show us, as well as Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs <3. All in all, This year Fashion week is going to be an eventfull one, full of new ideas with a new outlook on life. Now if only Friday could come sooner!
