Pure Elegance.

Every time I open a magazine I see the lovely ad for Tiffany & Co. Key pendents and I fall a little more in love with them. They are simple and understated and fabulously elegant. I am definitely lusting after the gold oval Key pendent on their 18 inch gold chain and I can just see it fitting perfectly into my wardrobe and my jewelry repertoire. Now if only someone could purchase one of these fabulous necklaces for me.... hmmm, Anniversary shall we say???

Must Have.

So, as I am sitting here in Phil's Coffee shop sipping coffee and taking advantage of free Wifi, I can't help but do a little internet shopping. I love this little slip dress from Maurie and Eve! I can just see myself basking in the summer sun in this number. Add in some cute sandals and a little cardy to help with the cool San Francisco air and I would be all set!
Now I have to leave before my credit card creeps out of my wallet and I order this dress right now.....
Desolè.

I'm sorry my dears.... But, I have just moved and I have no internet right now. It's been almost a week since I last posted and I feel like I've been missing something!
We are due to get internet tomorrow, so hopefully I will be able to get back into posting more often!! But, I will leave you with this fabulous photo.... Inspiration for me to make it through all of the unpacking that we are doing now that we are in our new place.

Morocco.

As Spring sets in and the semester comes to an end, days are filled with studying, work, trudging it to the gym, and more school work. Finals are coming up and projects are being piled onto the to do list, Life just seems to go at warp speed between it all. But, amidst all the running around and trying to get things done you still have to take time for yourself. Be it by taking a personal day to just spend on yourself, going shopping, or taking a vacation.
But, sometimes a day all to yourself, with no work, no school, no errands, is just not possible so we have to find little indulgences to help us make it through these stressful times. After a long day of just living life I love to just fill up the bath tub, light some candles and relax for 20 minutes to clear my head. Having a mini spa day is another one of my favorites, I get all my nail lacquers out and give myself a nice mani pedi!
But, right now I'm dreaming of a far away land.... Morocco. Oh, how I would love to just take a week or two and go exploring in Morocco. A girl can dream! The sprawling sands, the palm trees, the relaxation.
So, whether you're taking a vacation, giving yourself a mani pedi, or doing a little shopping, a girl has to set aside some time for herself, especially when times get busy! What do you do to relax?

Adultery?
I celebrated my 21st birthday in February and still have yet to feel like a real adult. So, I have to ask myself, when do we really become an adult? A real adult? Is it when we turn 18? 21? When we set out to live by ourselves? Or maybe when we are finally on our feet and really on our own? Is it when we have taken all responsibility for ourselves and our bills?
I myself, have been living on my own since I was 18, but yet I haven't reached that point where I feel as if I am an adult. With that said, I am most certainly not saying that I am childish or that I feel like a child, but I feel as if I am somewhere in between. I'm not a teenager anymore, as a teen we truly are still children no matter how much we fight it and claim to be an adult at the mere age of 14, but I'm not sure I feel as adult as 21 has meant in the past.
I pay my own bills, live with my lovely boyfriend whom I share the responsibility of a wonderful dog with, and I take care of myself, so am I an Adult? Well, who knows, I kind of like this in between place, where you feel all the responsibility but know that you can always call Mom or Dad in case of an emergency, or just to say hi.
But, as of today I think I have taken a step closer towards being an Adult. I took a trip down to the Farmers Market to meet a friend to shop around and then grab some brunch, but she had to cancel and seeing as I was already there I decided to take a gander anyway. Which is nothing to surprising or special. But, as I was browsing I started to get hungry and walked down to the Market Bar to take a look at the menu that I would have been enjoying. And then I had a thought, I don't have to skip this opportunity just because I am alone. So, I walked in there and asked for my table for one. And, you know what, It turned out to be quite a nice little mid-morning meal sitting out in the sun on the patio. I read a magazine, sipped a Mimosa, and nibbled on my omelet, by myself and completely content. As I was sitting there I thought about the episode of Sex & the City (my all time favorite show) where Carrie goes to have a lunch by herself to prove that she didn't need anyone but herself and felt a sense of power. I am an adult and I don't need someone just to enjoy a nice meal on a great afternoon.
So, with that maybe I'm one step closer to feeling like an adult.

Rain Storm.

Rainy days are just the perfect time to stay in and curl up with a good book and a cup of tea!! I absolutely love rainy days in SF for this very reason! So, as soon as class let out I headed home to do just that, and now I am embracing the last few moments of light and milking all I can out of this lazy day!

Spring List.

As I have said in earlier posts, Spring is really upon us here in San Francisco, and whenever I start to feel the changing of the seasons I know its time to make my list. My list of buys to add to my wardrobe to bring it into the new season. But, with the economy in its present state of peril this years Spring list is decidedly thinner yet much more worthwhile. Even though I will not be buying as much this season I feel like what I have decided to buy compliments what I have going on in my wardrobe but also still pushes the envelope a little bit.
1. The Classic Bag My number one for this season is the classic bag. I chose to invest in my Chloè Paraty because it has a beautiful classic shape and a neutral color that goes with everything I own, but is special enough as to stand alone with an outfit. A classic bag is always something that I have my eyes set upon when I do purchase a bag. I'm not one to buy something uber trendy that will last for only one season. I also would rather put my money towards a quality handbag that will last forever as opposed to spending on something trendy that is of lesser quality.
2. The Perfect Blazer Always a big part of my wardrobe, The Blazer is an irreplacible staple for me. And, for Spring it's all about the boyfriend blazer. To update my closet I am going to introduce two blazers. One from Isli, a beautiful black slouchy number, that is a bit pricey but worth the investment. The second is the White double breasted Boyfriend Blazer from none other than...... The Gap! It's a piece from the Parick Robinson collection that is totally chic and just what I need for Spring. Plus because it is from Gap it's at a great price point!
3. The Harem Pant Now, I know what you're thinking. Total Trend piece. But, it's one of those envelope pushers, one of those slightly edgy pieces, and I'm totally in love with them. Now I'm not saying to go out and buy say the Diane Von Furstenburg pair, which is actually moderately priced at $98, but what I am saying is this; If you're interested in a trendy piece go for it, head down to your nearest H&M or F21 and find that piece at a great price!! Which is what I did. I got a great pair of Harem pants at H&M and they are actually quite FABULOUS! I love them!!
4. A Pretty Rose Nude Gloss This is totally personal preference, but I love a nice rosie nude lip. You know, that color that just amps up your natural lip color! Plus, I'm more of an eyeliner girl when it comes to makeup, so I like to balance my look with a nude lip. My favorite is the Chanel Glossimer in SunDress. it's slightly rosie with little gold flecks that reflect light. It's Perfection.
5. The Laura Ring from Korcula For some reason I have become obsessed with rings! And, this one is no different. The Laura Ring in Yellow gold is just so fabulous and chic. The latticework is so delicate and doesn't overpower your fingers. Not that big baubles aren't amazing, but this guy is just a little different. I have been admiring it for a while and after seeing it on the lovely La Couturier I am set! I need this ring!!
6. Fabulous Shoes Shoes.... Shoes are definitely one of my favorite things in this beautiful world. And, I'm a high heel girl. I don't really do flats, not that I don't own any because I surely do. But, on a day to day basis I just always seem to reach for a pair of heels. So, I am on the hunt for shoes. I would love a pair of Nicholas Kirkwoods but we'll see how it all plays out in the end.
Each day that it gets warmer and the sun casts its wonderful warmth on us brings a smile to my face and lights up the fact that Spring is upon us! Are you ready for spring?? What's on your Spring list?
